Sasa comes from Ziyun County, Guizhou Province.

When she was in kindergarten, she was caught in a fire and burned her legs.

Because of poor treatment, the injured leg developed osteomyelitis. 

When she was 18, her leg had to be amputated.

The amputation was also poorly done and the bones of her stump were bulging. 

She hopes to have the chance to have a perfect surgery to repair her stump. 

This allowed her to be fitted with prosthetics and walk.
